NEW B18-C Convertible Electric & Acoustic Bass

The B18-C Convertible cabinet can be used upfiring or can quickly flip to front-firing. It delivers smooth ultra-wide dispersion with minimal diffraction in either orientation. This is due to there being no ‘edges’ defining any transition to what function as the cabinet’s side surface areas. There is one significant different between the two orientation choices. When upfiring there is essentially no acoustic/sound shadow. Any placement that is below your ears results in your hearing all that the cabinet produces. And in this case those all around you (360 degrees) can hear your playing. When front-facing, this more recognizable orientation maximizes all possible practical front and side throw, well beyond the abilities of traditional cabinet designs by providing 140 degree of full-content projection. You get to choose, depending on the venue and your preference.

The Sonusphere Convertible comes in two models; the passive B18-C and the powered B18-C3P. The B18-C3P includes a 300 watt at 8 ohm Olufsen Ice Power Class D power amplifier with Neutrik 1/4″/XLR combo connectors and volume. The powered model also has an output for an extension cabinet, lowering the outcome to a more efficient 4 ohms.
